Slight Fix!
So i noticed a slight mistake in that one of the Secret Technology EQ‘s bands was enabled slighlty off of zero by default. Why!!?? (There’s always gotta be only little thing that sneaks through.) Well anyways, i fixed it, and have updated the Finalization mastering effects template pack. Since i don’t have lemonsqueezy set up to be able to send emails to customers yet, i’m hereby posting the update announcement here.
Please check your lemonsqueezy “my orders” page and re-download Finalization!
I’ve placed the Ableton pack in there directly, so if you already got the documentation, just grab the .alp.
To install it, just drag it into Ableton Live and click the confirm message. Woohoo!
While i was at it, i also clarified the keyboard shortcuts for checking the unprocessed mixdown signal “[” and “\” visually on the track names, made it so those shortcuts focus on said tracks so it’s more obvious which one is active at a given moment
I also added the “k” keyboard shortcut for “kill all effects”, an alternate way to audition the pre-master signal but which also disables the Inflaturator (though not Parallelimit). The potential drawback to / weird thing about this mode is if you only have some of the effects modules enabled at a time, it will swap the on/off states of each.
In Other News
I recently provided audio finalization and video editing (look out for the easter eggs!) for the Music Production Podcast episode featuring Anthony Marinelli, who programmed the synth patches used on Michael Jackson’s Thriller. That is some nerdy cool shit! I loved this episode a lot. Anthony seems like a super chill individual and has a lot of interesting ideas, imaginative viewpoints, and intriguing anecdotes.
Side note: duckduckgo web search sucks ass compared to startpage! We won’t even talk about how terrible google is nowadays. Thanks for listening to my hot take.
